Mercy's Hope
Mercy's Hope strives to care for the daily needs of the
children in the homes in which its serves. It also strives
to provide a more permanent solution to the problems of
poverty. Through the program Farming for Future Food
Mercy's Hope helps to provide the children's homes with
revenue building projects such as chicken coops and
chickens, goats and cows. These projects not only
provide food and milk for the children; they are able to
sell the surplus to help supplement other areas of needs.
Through Farming For Future Food's Chicken Project, God's Grace
Children's Home has expanded their chicken project. They built a new
coop (above) and now house 300 chickens. They sell these chickens to
keep the business going, and also use it as a means of food for the
children.
Some of the 300, or should I say 299,(we had
a feast that day) chickens.
Rabbits at God's Grace, other source of food
for the children.
