Theatrical Missions to Peru:
The summer before I started high school
the Lord quickened my
heart to see Him
more clearly in the
United States and
abroad.

*INSIGHT program @ the
USCWM:
Not only did I receive a better
understanding of how theology and
the study of world history intermingle,
but also I was able to develop an entirely
new perspective on the passionate story
of God's relationship with every tribe,
tongue, and nation.

* Certification in TESL and as a CNA
I have not pursued a traditional education path
because I have yet to reconcile spending such a large
sum on a degree which I may or may not use. Instead I
have pursued certificates and private study as
opportunity and need has arisen.

* A Time for reflection
In the Fall of 2008 I decided to visit
former mentors now residing and serving at
NEGST.  I spent Jan and Feb in Kenya
hoping to discover what the next season of my
life would entail. It was during this trip that
I was introduced to Mercy's Hope and the
children of Githunguri.

I am not a doctor, nor a preacher, nor a pastor, nor a teacher, nor a carpenter, nor a community developer; there really
is no professional title for which I qualify but I have been jolted and I am willing and eager to do whatever these
people need done so that they can focus on what they do best and not have to worry about the middle-man work.
While I was in Kenya I had an inkling that I would be
returning to Kenya in the future but I was not sure
what my return would look like. Unknown to me
Mercy's Hope had been looking for someone to
reside in Kenya and handle communication and
support there.

The hope is that a Kenyan will fill this position but
being that it is not fully developed yet I have decided
to return to Kenya this fall to establish the position
and seek a replacement to fill it.

Some of my responsibilities as a Mercy's Hope
volunteer will include:

Communicating children's home’s needs to Mercy’s
Hope administration in the US.

Distributing funds to appropriate recipients and
maintaining accountability and

Hosting Mercy’s Hope visitors and volunteers.
The next step...
After visiting with the Mercy's Hope sponsored children's
homes I returned to the US and was able to meet with
Valerie and the Mercy's Hope board members to discuss my
trip and the observations I made. The biggest thing that
grabbed my heart while I was there was that there were not
enough hands to get things done. Thanks to the generosity of
sponsors and supporters there was hope that financial needs
would eventually be met but the greatest struggle was not
having people there to care for the children and correspond
with Mercy's Hope.

Initial Investment Goal
Monthly Promise Goal
Mercy's Hope has made it a point to send all donations directly to the children and projects relating to the homes.

Only 10% of donations go toward  administration fees such as ink, stamps and paper. All of the members of the
Mercy's Hope board are volunteers and when I return to Kenya, I too will be a volunteer.

I am raising support for my initial expenses and I am also asking for monthly faith promises while I am there because
the Kenyan government will not permit me to work.

If you would like to contribute toward my efforts you can make a PayPal tax-deductible donation or by mail.

Thank you for your partnership, I look forward to keeping you updated from the field.
